Store design innovation
In line with Adnams’ commitment to the environment, the new Cellar&Kitchen store is a large, spacious design, innovatively insulated with sheep’s wool, with plenty of natural lighting and ventilation to minimise energy consumption.
An attractive, timber-framed Adnams eco-café makes up part of the store, featuring a living sedum roof and rainwater recycling system for toilet flushing. The intimate atmosphere of the café is enhanced with seating snugs made from old copper-lined fermentation vessels salvaged from the recent refurbishment of the Adnams brewery. Outside, a new market square has been built with reclaimed timber groynes and Suffolk shingle.
